Consider the lilies

Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.Luke 12:27

He does not say the flowers are useful. He says they are beautiful, and that this was enough reason to make them.

You have been thinking about yourself in terms of output for a while now — what you got done, what you did not. That is not how you were being looked at.

You are not loved for your productivity. You would be worth making if you never got the kitchen clean.
