He carries the ones you cannot

He tends his flock like a shepherd: he gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.Isaiah 40:11

Read the last six words again. He gently leads those that have young.

Somebody who wrote this knew that a woman with small children cannot go at the pace of everybody else. Not because she is weak. Because she is carrying someone.

The shepherd does not shout at the ones who are slow. He changes his pace to theirs. If you are moving slowly through this year, you are not being left behind. You are being led differently, on purpose.
