A devotional for mothers
Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.Psalm 30:5
Some of you are reading this at two in the morning with somebody on your shoulder.
The verse does not promise the night will be short. It says the night ends. That is a smaller promise than we want and a more honest one than we usually get.
You are not failing because it is hard at night. Nights are hard. Morning is still coming, and you do not have to feel it approaching for it to be true.
One small thing
If you are up in the night, do not add guilt to it. Sit down. You are allowed to sit down.
