The work nobody sees

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.Proverbs 31:27

Most of what you did today left no trace. The laundry will be dirty again. The floor you swept has crumbs on it. Nobody wrote any of it down.

But the verse does not say she accomplished. It says she watches over. That is not a task you finish; it is a post you keep. The watching is the work, and it counts on the days when nothing visible comes of it.

God does not need a report. He was there for all of it.
